Yash and Geetu Mohandas Acted as 'Bouncers' for Pregnant Kiara Advani on Toxic Set

Actor Yash has shared details about the protective measures he and director Geetu Mohandas took for Kiara Advani during the filming of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. Speaking at the film's audio launch in Mumbai, Yash revealed that he and Mohandas effectively acted as "bouncers" on set to ensure the safety and comfort of the pregnant actress.

Yash admitted he was initially concerned about the physical demands of the role, given the action-heavy schedule of the film. He recalled their first conversation where Advani asked if he had ever shot a rain sequence. Yash replied that he had not, but reassured her it would be "good and easy."

Despite the demanding nature of the shoot, Yash praised Advani's professionalism and dedication. He noted that even though she was pregnant during the production, she approached her work with complete commitment. This dedication prompted Yash and Mohandas to closely monitor her well-being on set.

Ensuring Safety on a Demanding Set

"But the way she dedicated herself, and I must say, even after she was carrying, she came with 100% commitment," Yash said. "I was more worried; Geetu was more worried. We were like bouncers or bodyguards on set; we used to take care of her, but she has really dedicated herself. Thank you, Kiara; this one is special."

Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is directed by Malayalam filmmaker Geetu Mohandas. The project features an ensemble cast that includes Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. The filmmakers have kept specific plot details and character descriptions largely confidential.

Advani has previously discussed how the role of Nadia challenged her as an actor. Speaking at the film's trailer launch in Bengaluru, she credited both Yash and Mohandas with recognizing her potential for the role before she did.

"I truly believe that Geetu and Yash manifested for me to be Nadia in this film," Advani stated. "They saw it in me and believed I was capable of this much before I knew that fearless leap that I was ready to take as an actor."

Advani expressed gratitude to the team for trusting her with the character, noting that the experience would remain a significant milestone in her career. She also joked that Yash and Mohandas had "spoiled" the cast by providing an exceptionally high-quality working environment that they would now seek in future projects.
