Professional training is experiencing a shift as digital transformation, evolving technology, and workplace restructuring alter organizational needs. As businesses navigate these changes, Marie Vandenberghe, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Quality Training, has positioned her organisation around human-centred learning designed to foster adaptability, critical thinking, and practical skills.

Featured in Business Talk magazine's "Global Business Women of 2025" feature, Vandenberghe established Quality Training based on her background as a trainer and training manager. The organisation was built on the principle that technical instruction alone is insufficient to address complex business demands, requiring customized skill development tailored to organizational challenges.

Core Values and Diverse Course Offerings

Quality Training builds its curriculum and business model on three primary values: People, Agility, and Humanity. The focus on people emphasizes relationships, active listening, and learner motivation, while agility ensures training tools adapt to shifting market conditions. The humanity core value is reflected through financial support for charitable initiatives aimed at improving access to education for children.

The organisation currently offers more than 100 specialized coaching programmes. Technical software training covers tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Microsoft 365, Copilot, Adobe products, Canva, Trello, and general artificial intelligence applications. Alongside technical competencies, Quality Training provides soft skills instruction focusing on leadership, emotional management, time management, effective communication, stress management, training the trainer, and navigating the right to disconnect.

Multi-Modal Delivery and Strategic Partnerships

To accommodate diverse client locations and working schedules, Quality Training employs flexible learning structures. These include in-person instruction, fully digital formats, blended learning, and flipped pedagogy models. Under the flipped learning approach, participants prepare foundational material prior to class, reserving live session time for practical application and real-world execution.

Strategic collaborations form a central part of Quality Training's operational structure. Through a partnership with Microsoft, the organisation provides direct access to updated tools and technical practices. The onboarding process involves a structured intake evaluation where project managers analyze learner goals and conduct skill assessments to group participants into homogeneous learning cohorts. Post-training support is extended through helpdesks and video tips.

This consultative model has enabled Quality Training to assemble a cross-industry client portfolio featuring international and regional entities, including IBA, Médecins Sans Frontières, UCB, and Viatris Pharma.

AI Integration and Leadership Growth

Addressing the growing presence of artificial intelligence in business environments, Quality Training has introduced dedicated AI course modules. Training options include courses on Microsoft’s Viva Suite, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and hands-on instruction using ChatGPT, designed to incorporate AI workflows directly into daily office operations.

Over its 17-year history, Quality Training has scaled from a single-person operation into an enterprise supported by 45 instructors. Vandenberghe initially designed, delivered, and managed all training sessions independently before transitioning into executive leadership, project management, and business operations to support expansion.

Social Initiatives and Future Expansion

Beyond commercial activities, Quality Training allocates a dedicated share of its corporate budget to non-governmental organisations. This includes a partnership with the Indah Association, which works to broaden access to education for women and children across Rwanda, Madagascar, and Sri Lanka.

The organisation has received regional industry recognition, securing four consecutive HR Excellence Awards and earning a nomination for "Best Learning & Development Organisation 2026." It also hosts HR events, garden parties, and executive leadership gatherings to facilitate networking and knowledge-sharing among human resource leaders.

Looking ahead, Quality Training plans to establish a specialized department dedicated to HR events, introduce new team-building learning modules, and deepen the integration of AI tools across its curricula to expand adaptive and personalized instruction.
