Karur Vysya Bank Reports 45% Rise in Q1 Net Profit to ₹756 Crore
Karur Vysya Bank has announced a significant 45 percent increase in its net profit for the first quarter of the financial year, reaching ₹756 crore compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Strong Operating Performance
The private sector lender's financial performance was supported by a substantial 36 percent jump in its pre-provision operating profit. Additionally, the bank's net interest income grew by 32 percent, boosting its overall earnings during the quarter.
Asset Quality Trends
While the bank registered strong growth across key profitability metrics, its asset quality experienced a minor change. Karur Vysya Bank reported that its gross non-performing assets (NPAs) saw a slight increase during the first quarter.
