Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer to Miss England's ODI Tri-Series in Pakistan
England players Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer are set to miss the upcoming One Day International (ODI) tri-series in Pakistan scheduled for later this month. Buttler has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury sustained during the second ODI against Sri Lanka, while Archer is being rested as part of his workload management following a busy summer schedule.
In their absence, Harry Brook will captain the 16-man England squad for the tournament, which also features Sri Lanka. The matches will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore, starting with a double round-robin format on October 18, leading up to the final at the Gaddafi Stadium on October 31.
Key Returns and Recalls to the Squad
Leg-spinner Adil Rashid and all-rounder Sam Curran are set to return to the national side. Rashid missed England's recent 2-1 ODI series victory over Sri Lanka, while Curran returns after recovering from a groin injury.
Additionally, leg-spinner Mason Crane has earned a recall to the England squad after an eight-year absence. Crane, who has previously played two T20Is and was selected for the Ashes against Australia in January 2018, remains uncapped in the ODI format. England Men national selector Marcus North praised Crane's recent performances, noting his consistency for Glamorgan across both formats during the summer.

The squad also features the uncapped Sussex duo of James Coles and Henry Crocombe, both of whom have previously been part of England's white-ball training setups.
