India has advanced to the finals of the Asian Games 2026 after a thrilling win over Sri Lanka. The match saw a brilliant knock from Ishan Kishan, who remained unbeaten with 80 runs, and the bowlers ripping through Sri Lanka's batting order.
India's Batting Performance
India batted first and lost the wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson for 7 runs each. Shreyas Iyer, who came to bat, joined Suryavanshi as India scored 58 runs in the powerplay. Arachchige bagged his second wicket, dismissing Suryavanshi for 38 runs.
With Sahan dismissing Iyer for 13 runs, India lost 4 wickets for 87 runs. While Axar Patel, Tilak Varma, and Shivam Dube lost wickets at intervals, Ishan Kishan went on to smash fifty and remained unbeaten with 80* runs.

In the 10th over, Sri Lanka lost all 10 wickets for 45 runs and became the second team to bowl out for the low score in the T20Is.
