Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff at his residence late at night following a firing incident in Juhu on Sunday. Initial images showed the actor with dressings on his shoulder and chest, alongside a bandage on his right arm. Police confirmed that Shroff did not sustain any bullet injuries during the attack, though the precise cause of his visible injuries has not been officially detailed.

Addressing reporters outside the actor's residence after meeting Shroff and his father, veteran actor Jackie Shroff, Shinde described the attack as serious and condemnable. He stated that the government and the Mumbai Police stand firmly behind the family to address their security concerns.

State Assures Firm Action Against Gang Activity

During his interaction with the media, Shinde warned against attempts to revive organized crime in the city. He noted that five rounds were fired during the attack, which resulted in injuries to the actor's driver and another bystander while Shroff narrowly escaped harm.

Responding to queries regarding alleged links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Shinde emphasized that strict action would be taken regardless of which group was responsible. He urged celebrities, industrialists, and citizens to report any threatening calls or messages to the police immediately, reiterating that no criminal group would be permitted to operate with impunity in Mumbai.

Police Investigation and Suspect Search

The firing occurred around 7 pm on Sunday near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu, a location where Shroff frequently plays football on weekends. Investigating officers suspect that the assailants conducted prior reconnaissance of the area and monitored his routine before waiting outside the park gate.

According to police accounts, five shots were fired at the scene. Shroff’s driver, identified as Firdosh, suffered a bullet injury to his left hand. A second individual standing near the actor’s vehicle was also wounded. Both injured persons were subsequently admitted to the hospital for medical care.

Following the shooting, the attackers escaped on a motorcycle heading toward SV Road before abandoning the vehicle outside the Andheri (West) railway station. Police have obtained CCTV footage featuring images of two suspected individuals. Fifteen dedicated teams have been deployed to track down the assailants, though no detentions have been made so far. Authorities indicated that the investigation is likely to be transferred to the Mumbai Police Crime Branch.

While a social media post allegedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the shooting, police officers stated that the claim remains unverified. Police records also indicate that Shroff had not filed any previous complaints regarding threat calls.
